HR Advisor
The HR Advisor provides a comprehensive and proactive commercially-focused HR service across Gattaca, providing key stakeholders with advice, information, data and effective transactional HR support to embed an inclusive and high performance culture, aligned to Gattaca’s strategic priorities.
The HR Advisor will embed themselves in identified business areas and be perceived as an extension to the key stakeholder’s team. The HR Advisor role will work very closely with the wider People team to ensure a collaborative approach which leads to delivering a high performing culture across Gattaca.
Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of call for the provision of responsive and high-quality advice and coaching to all parts of Gattaca, that may include but not limited to; conduct, performance, wellbeing and sickness absence.
- Manage and maintain the HR Queries inbox, answering queries within the agreed SLAs and allocating to the relevant HR or business expert as necessary.
- Manage employee relations issues within the business streams, ensuring a fair and reasonable, and consistent approach is applied.
- Support the HR team in delivering wellbeing toolkits, messages and support as well as designing and delivering education sessions for line managers on employee relations.
- Work with the HR team to support the implementation of EDI initiatives and improvements across HR procedures, processes and plans.
- Actively promote non-discriminatory behaviour. Challenge perceptions and behaviour and lead by example to promote EDI at all levels within the team
- Run weekly and monthly reporting from the HRIS, including payroll tracker reports, reports for managers, and sickness statistics.
- Be an intermediate level user of the HRIS, with administrative rights, supporting the HR Data & Systems Analyst with system administration.
- Deliver the quarterly performance scorecard review to managers, and proactively identify under performers across all data sets.
- Provide an excellent level of customer service.
- Assisting with project work at the request of the HR Management team.
- Take a ‘continual improvement’ approach to work, actively working in partnership with our customers and participating in service reviews and improvements.
- Maintain a visible, professional and high profile within the Group.
- To promote use of the engagement survey in order to understand employee sentiment within their business units and to anticipate their needs and concerns, raising and proposing solutions to any issues to the wider HR leadership.
- Play an active role in supporting change management initiatives, taking on some structural changes in the absence of the Lead HR Partner.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues.
- Act as the primary HR contact for wellbeing, ensuring delivery of initiatives in line with the People strategy and ESG strategy.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field desirable but not essential.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of HR Advisory or Generalist experience.
- Strong commercial HR experience within a corporate or sales setting.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Can work both independently and within a team environment.
- Open to challenging managers views and perceptions of ER matters.
- Have the courage to challenge, whilst demonstrating the ability to be flexible and adaptive, ensuring that individual and organisational needs are taken account of.
- Excellent attention to detail, including writing and reviewing of documents, and ER letters.
- Comfortable with change, welcoming it as an opportunity to grow.

- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
